Grey water recovery is the treatment of the least polluted part of domestic waste water, i.e. water coming from the shower, washbasin, bathtub, to be reused. In some special cases, water discharged from washing machines and the kitchen can be included in the scope of grey water, and recovered. Grey water accounts for the largest portion among domestic waste waters. Generally, 50-70% of the domestic waste water is grey water.
